I really like this DVD, you can really relax wonderfully with it. I find it very good that you have the choice to play the videos with various background noises. You can choose between music, rain or rain and thunder sounds. The variety of scenes on this DVD is very good, either you see static shots of rivers in the rain or you have videos with changing scenes of nature in the rain or of clouds. A great DVD.

First off, let me say that I love nature videos. Rain and Thunder is a wonderful soothing DVD. I have a problem with my head and the noise of thunder, but you can choose either music, rain, or thunder for sounds, so it was perfect for me. I played part of it with the music and it's nice and not too loud, but I always prefer the nature sounds, and the rain sounds are perfect for me I did try part of it with thunder and it wasn't the loud noises that thunder can be, but I still prefer the rain sounds. So peaceful. It also has really beautiful scenery in the rain - rivers, waterfall, fall colors, etc. When I need to be taken away from the "noise" of life, this DVD is perfect for that. I always find rain and thunder so relaxing. There are 4 rain/storm choices or you can play them all. I like playing it with the music if I am doing things around the house but find the rain and thunder sounds relaxing if you are trying to sleep. I put the sound lower than normal like a sound machine for falling asleep.

Very enjoyable DVD. I find rain and thunder fascinating. I'm glad there is a choice of sounds, a couple of the animals are scared of thunder storms. I have enjoyed this DVD.

Splendid dvd - there are four video tracks to enjoy, and while they play you can choose from New Age piano music, thunder and rain sounds or both. My favorite two video tracks are Rain in the Forest and Monsoon - the forest in the first one has a familiar look - both are gorgeously filmed. The other two are Clouds and River (the River track is beautiful too - it's shot in a very exotic locale.) The thunder is gentle and the rain sounds are soothing - nothing jarring here. There aren't many DVDs out there with actual lightning shots and thunder, so this DVD is a rare find.

" My peaceful getaway! "
Rain and Thunder is truly a peaceful and relaxing dvd. (It will make you sleepy!) The scenery is absolutely beautiful, and captured in a variety of locations that are tactfully presented in the video. Love the ability to adjust the menu options to play the video with or without rain, thunder, or music. It is an excellent getaway playing the video in the background and bringing the gentle sounds of nature into my home. I have purchased several DVD's from The Ambient Collection, to include their nature and virtual exercise videos. I have enjoyed them all and been extremely please.

The interplay of clouds, light and dark, sound of nature and of music are perfectly blended into a masterpieces for the eye, ear, and soul. Crystal clear video makes you feel that you are watching out your own window. Most of the videos are set in Fall, so the color palette is very rich. The blending of scenes is seamless between closeups and distant shots.

Excellent and as title suggests. After playing it we actually got a much neede rain an thunderstorm. Is it a rainmaker? Only suggestion is being able to play sounds and music together.
