Visually stunning, this DVD offers a relaxing and entertaining array of scenes for both child and caregiver.
Segment 1, Underwater World, features fish antics and colorful coral...on repeated viewings you will see fish you didn't happen to notice at first. After the antics, you watch fish wrestle a current and do a collective "dance" that is actually quite funny and may inspire a fit of giggles. Who doesn't enjoy clown fish popping in and out of anemone at random intervals....the best part of all of this is that no one eats his neighbor!!!
Next, you are treated to Sea Life: star fish, jellyfish and bubbles. Colors are constantly changing and offer a visual kaleidoscope.
As you progress, you enjoy graceful sea horses and soft ocean waves with the sounds of seagulls in the background...the piano accompaniment is melancholy...meant to relax. The ocean life in the background is almost celestial in nature. Continue on, and you will watch just a few leisurely fish, not enough to capture a child's interest, but it offers a nice background for a quiet activity.
The final setting is unusual...it is goldfish swimming in a barren tank....but watching fish breathe can be inherently funny, so this is actually more entertaining than you might expect.
This DVD offers options for background sounds. If you play each segment individually, you can choose from diver's sounds, bubbles, a music box and underwater music. In the "play all" function, the music defaults to a pre-selected track. The drawback here is that the Sea Life segment is accompanied by a music box playing the same 16 bars of a lullaby over, and over, and over.....for about 20 minutes. Unless you are lulling a child to sleep with this it can be redundant!
All in all, this is a nice DVD that you can customize to fit your needs.

| This DVD is a big hit in our household! Both adults and the kids have been fascinated by it. “Nemo!” and “Dory!” they cried when they saw the fish. The colours are all really sharp and vivid, and it’s fun to see the seahorses and other fish pop out of their hiding spots. If we keep it playing on the kitchen TV, the kids often stop and watch it instead of bugging us for attention! We watched the trailer for Baby Clouds and loved it. We’re gonna order that for sure.
