The Gardena Pass (Passo Gardena) is a spectacular mountain pass in the
Dolomites, a mountain range in northeastern Italy. It is one of the most scenic
and popular passes in the region, offering stunning views of the surrounding
peaks and valleys.
The Gardena Pass is located in the South Tyrol region of Italy, connecting the
Val Gardena and Val Badia valleys. It lies between the towns of Selva di Val
Gardena (Wolkenstein) and Corvara.
The pass sits at an elevation of 2,136 meters (7,008 feet), making it a high-
altitude destination with panoramic views of the Dolomites. The Gardena Pass
is surrounded by some of the most iconic peaks in the Dolomites, including the
Sella Group to the east and the Sassolungo (Langkofel) massif to the west. The
views from the pass are breathtaking, with jagged peaks, lush valleys and alpine
meadows.
