Built in 1912, the Vlamingh Head Lighthouse is a historic lighthouse located at the northern tip of the North West Cape, near Exmouth, Western Australia.
It operated until 1967, when it was replaced by modern navigation systems, including the nearby Harold E. Holt communications base.
The tower stands 12.2 meters high, on a hill 73 meters above sea level, giving it visibility up to 22 nautical miles out to sea.
It’s named after Dutch explorer Willem de Vlamingh.
