Cycle through Hanover, in German Hannover, the capital of Lower Saxony in northern Germany. It is a city known for its rich history, extensive green spaces, and vibrant cultural scene.

Hanover was the seat of the House of Hanover, which ruled over Britain in personal union for over a century. The city has several royal landmarks that reflect this legacy.

The New Town Hall (Neues Rathaus) resembling a palace more than a government building, offers panoramic views of the city from its dome. The Marktkirche (Market Church) is the main Lutheran church in Hanover and a fine example of North German brick Gothic architecture.

Another wonderful place are the Herrenhausen Gardens (Herrenhäuser Gärten). These Baroque gardens are one of Hanover’s most famous attractions. The Great Garden (Großer Garten) is particularly impressive with its ornate design, fountains and sculptures. The gardens also include the Berggarten, which features exotic plants and greenhouses, and the Georgengarten, a more natural English landscape garden.
