Review: DVD for Cats and Birds
This may have been produced for cats, but humans (and pet birds) will love it too. Six HD segments with stunning color; choose to loop one or play all. Audio is flexible: ambient nature or classical (mostly Chopin with a bit of Beethoven). Segment 1 feels like a window onto a feeder — ambient bird sounds may awaken your cat’s inner hunter. Segment 2 shows birds bathing and nesting; with classical music, it evokes silent-film charm. Segment 3’s wildlife — especially the meerkats — becomes delightfully Chaplin-esque with perfect musical edits; parts had me laughing out loud. Segment 4 offers peaceful wildlife, 5 features waterfowl, and 6 returns to a lovely stone birdbath. In “play all,” pick ambient or classical; when looping a single segment, 3 and 4 also offer optional cat sounds — results may vary by feline! Highly recommended, and I hope viewers share videos of their cats’ reactions.
